Some of our most frequently asked questions include ‘do you come north of the river?’ or ‘do you come to Mandurah?’ and so on. Nowadays, the physical location of a funeral home matters less and less. The majority of funerals are held at one of the cemeteries or a local church, so the number of people that actually come to the funeral home is dwindling rapidly.

This is not a bad thing, however. It allows Hetherington Funerals to service a larger area, and that is exactly what we do. Not only do we cover the Perth metropolitan area, we frequently go out to the country, anywhere from Jurien Bay, to Northam, to Katanning to Albany. Distance is not an issue to us, and we will come wherever we need to in order to be of service.

Depending on the wishes of the deceased and your family, you can have the funeral service at a church, cemetery, funeral home or another indoor or outdoor venue of your choice with approval. Once again, we are afforded a significant level of flexibility in where proceedings take place.

If the deceased is overseas, this may complicate matters. More information can be found on our FAQs page or our article What To Do When Someone Dies While Overseas.
