Sending my condolences to Malcolm's family and loved ones. I have lovely memories of Malcolm at our family dinners with my parents (Bob & Nette), always had a joke or two to crack. You will be greatly missed Mal. Gianina x

Malcolm you were a box of one with an encyclopedia of jokes for every occasion sometimes the wrong one at the wrong time making it even more amusing. You were easy company always ready to entertain the kids with a magic trick., loved and dear to my mum, loved by us, may the doors of paradise open to you and all the doggies in heaven leap at your feet. Sorry we can't be at your funeral but you are in our thoughts and hearts. With bundles of love, Bridget and family. (Jensen Aliya and Alan)
Malcolm - your loyalty to me is the gift I most treasure - I am lost for words at this time - I feel your spirit and sense you beside me today. - Colleen
May we share our sympathies with our Aussie Rellies upon the death of Uncle Malcolm. His love and humour are a great loss to the family and we send a virtual hug to you at this sad time. Uncle Malcolm left England when I was a baby and I didn't get to meet him properly until I was much older, distance was indeed a barrier. Once travel became affordable, it was great to meet him in person and to realise perhaps where I get my mischievous side from. His jokes were well rehearsed and often somewhat inappropriate, so much so that I shall never look at a Dahlia in the same way ever again. With a young family he and Karen travelled much of Australia to make a living and they worked tirelessly to offer the 5 children every opportunity to become their own people. My memories of sharing time with him in later life was of someone who knew what they liked and liked what they knew; perhaps this explains why he never returned to the UK to visit. I pitied his carers who had to work around his passion of shooting and the black powder, cartridges and bullet making kit in his lounge; at least it ensured that they didn't smoke in the house! Can I offer a big vote of thanks to Kim for doing all of the unseen stuff to ensure that he had the support and care that he needed over the past years and for translating his words to the family after his stroke impacted upon his speech. Whilst COVID prevents us from offering our goodbyes in person, may Uncle Malcom rest in peace and the memories of the good times shared bring some comfort to us all at his passing. - The McGowan Family

Malcolm, your jokes were both funny and bad 😂 Your beautiful Scottish accent made everything you said, sound so much sweeter,One of my many memories of you,was helping me move out of the first home I lived in on Kent St. I had no idea what to do with my fridge,so off you went with it and within a few days you had sold it for $100 , we split the money and had a giggle with a few more Paddy Irish Man Joke over a cuppa Tea. I'm so sad that you've passed away, yet I know it's so much better for you. Fly high my old friend ,leave the wind take you to wherever your heart desires. Rest in peace Laoisy ☘ T
